The name "DotBlanc" combines the English word "Dot" and the French word "Blanc" (meaning "white" in English), symbolizing the essence of our mission. The white dot represents the deaf minority within the broader society, highlighting their unique presence and contributions. Our initiatives include sign language education, hosting community events, distributing movies, and offering unwavering support for the deaf community. DotBlanc Inc. strives to create meaningful connections and enhance accessibility for all.
Ozzirapper
Ozzirap (오지랖) is a Korean noun that refers to being nosy or overly curious about other people’s lives. In deaf culture, however, this term has been redefined to symbolize sharing knowledge and increasing authentic awareness. By adding “-er” to the end of the word, Ozzirapper transforms into a role model, emphasizing the value of caring for others and fostering connections.
The concept behind Ozzirapper was inspired by the founder's belief in the importance of addressing and sharing community matters. Deaf people primarily communicate visually using sign language, and lighting plays a vital role in facilitating this communication. Without proper lighting, interactions in sign language become significantly more difficult. The sign for Ozzirapper, “O + LIGHT,” uses the initial letter "O" to represent the idea of turning on the light—symbolizing illumination for connection and communication.
Ozzirapper is a deaf organization focused on sharing resources and building community through light and visual engagement. As a video content creator, Ozzirapper spreads awareness and creativity on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
